After the structure fell to
the ground, we took it apart and organized all the pieces in the yard. We then spent a couple of months completing the duplex on Queen. The
house has been rebuilt from those pieces. A lot of new materials were required.
The framing, for example, had to be all-new due to extensive damage. Siding and
a number of architectural elements were used again. The experience has been
most humbling for me. I have learned valuable lessons that I may not have
learned any other way.
Lots of work, but it looks GREAT! -Holly

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I pass this house often (we recently purchased an old home in east Durham) - what an amazing story, mand incredibly humbling. The home is beautiful, and I would love to read more about any progress you have made since putting it back together.
